The farm works closely with local schools and community groups to provide a unique setting for children and adults to learn about all aspects of wildlife, agriculture and horticulture. From a self-guided tour to curriculum-specific workshops, the farm offers a fantastic resource for Outdoor Learning.
Schools and community groups are always welcome to visit for which we will charge a minimal amount.
• So that we can make sure you get the most out of your visit to the farm, we do ask that you please book your visit in advance.

Farm Tours
Tours of the farm are the best way to become familiar with the layout and facilities that we offer. There is a great deal to see at  Newham City Farm, and there is always a lot going on. By arranging a tour you can ensure that you get the most out of your visit.

Guided Tours
A member of the farm's staff will take your group on a guided walk around the farm, introducing you to the animals and explaining how the City Farm operates. Your group will benefit from a deeper insight into the workings of the farm and will have the opportunity to make close contact with some of the smaller animals. You will have access to the Playbarn as a base for your visit - please note that although the Playbarn has a roof, this is an exposed space if the weather is bad.
• Tours last 2 hrs and can be adapted to suit the needs of your group with prior notice.

Self-Guided Farm Tour
Use our detailed information packs to prepare your own tour of  the farm.  For just £1 per child* you will have access to the whole farm together with an information pack. Your group will also be able to use the Playbarn for lunch.
*This is the rate for LBN schools.

Planning Your Tour Of The Farm

We ask that you please book all group visits to the farm in advance. This is to comply with our health and safety requirements and also to ensure that we can accommodate your group. We would be happy to help you to select the best option to meet your needs and make suitable resources available to you. Please contact us as soon as possible to request a Booking Form, an Education Pack and a Risk Assessment.
