Abbey Gardens Garden Club

Abbey Gardens is a thriving community garden in West Ham surrounding part of the ruins of a 12th century abbey. The garden hosts free gardening sessions for people who want to learn how to grow and harvest organic vegetables, fruit and flowers.

Open to everyone, the supervised sessions run from 1st March to 31st October
Tuesdays: 1pm-3pm
Thursdays: 4pm-7pm
Saturdays: 10am-4pm.
Come along and get your hands dirty. No need to book, just turn up.

Gardening Thymes

Gardening Thymes is a free and friendly gardening group based in Central Park. Their Get Growing club meets every Friday from 11am - 1pm, and on the first Sunday of every month from 1pm - 4pm in Central Park Bowling Green. As well as growing produce they also organise craft sessions and foraging trips, and other community events and activities.

All ages are welcome but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. As well as working on the community garden, activities include walks, talks about food and herb growing, and plant and seed swaps.

Forest Gate Community Garden

Forest Gate Community Garden is a green space in the heart of Forest Gate, where people from all walks of life and cultures can meet, relax, garden and learn about nature and wildlife.

Come and join us on Saturdays from 10.00am-1.00pm.

Parkside Gardening Project

St. Luke's Community Centre, Canning Town, E16 1HN. Parkside Gardening Project provides uses gardening and food growing to help promote good physical and mental wellbeing of adults with mental health needs. Session Timings: Stratford Park, E15 every Wednesday 10am - 3pm ; St. Luke's Community Centre, E16 every other Thursday 10am - 3pm ; Leyes Road Allotments, E16 every other Thursday 10am - 3pm.
