This summer you can enjoy a whole host of fun activities in parks across Newham!

active Newham have a number of great family fun activities on offer across the borough during the summer holidays. So get out, make new friends and get active during the summer break!
Fun activities include:




ParkLives
Newham Council has lots of free 

activities and events to join in with this spring and summer – and they are all free!
The ParkLives programme is suitable for everyone, no matter what your age or ability.
Activities include:
• Cricket
• Family Tennis
• Walking groups
• Yoga
and much more!

Go Wild! Family Club
Children of all ages and their families and carers are invited to join the free Go Wild!
sessions at East Ham Nature Reserve.

Have fun exploring the reserve and getting to know the wildlife that lives there.
You'll be able to build dens, make crafts, and play in the beautiful surroundings.
There will be the chance to learn about the different seasons, and the animals and plants that call the nature reserve their home.
Sessions take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 12.00pm - 2.30pm.

Join the Us Girls programme

Us Girls is the fantastic female only programme for women aged between 14 - 25 years of age.
Our  female instructors will ensure you have lots of fun, get fit and make new friends with our brilliant range of activities.
From learning to roller skate to fencing you will be able to learn new skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Dogs Trust events
Come along and meet the Dogs Trust for information about caring for your dog.
There will also be dog agility exercises, weather permitting!

• free microchipping and poop bags
• low cost neutering vouchers available for residents on means tested benefits with breed specific dogs
• nail clipping
• collar swap
• on the spot training and general advice on dog ownership

Summer '16 Rio Run 
5k adult run and 2k children fun run, open to all ages and abilities - no previous experience necessary 

Get in the mood for the Rio Olympics with a carnival themed family run open to all ages and abilities. The run includes a goody bag and unique finisher's medals for all participants, so put on your best carnival outfit and get involved in the fun!

Great Run Local Newham
Every Sunday Newham residents can enjoy a free fun run for people of all ages.
The weekly run takes place at New Beckton Park every Sunday at 9.30am and involves a timed 2k and 5k run. The event is free and families are welcomed including children and buggies. The run is part of a network of free, weekly, friendly running events delivered by fantastic local organisers and volunteers.
