The Summer Fun Run 
Get in the mood for summer with activeNewham! Don’t miss out on this family fun run in which you can either walk, jog or run 1k, 3k or 5km through the iconic park in a fun and safe environment. Ideal for all abilities from total beginners and new runners, through to those regular runners who want to do something different and join in with a fun community run. This is open to all ages and abilities.
Dress code: Beach summer fun!
£5.00 for Adults, £3 for Children under 12. 2 Children run for free with each adult. A goody bag and unique medal will be given to all finishers!

The Mayor's Newham Show

Newham’s biggest FREE family event returns to Central Park, East Ham on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July and will be better than ever.
This year, the children’s tent will be even bigger. With everyone’s favourite pigs coming to town! On Saturday, Peppa and George will be appearing during story time sessions, led by a narrator. You can see them on the Main Stage and the Children’s Stage at intervals throughout the day, plus there will be meet & greet opportunities.

Captain Barnacles & Kwazii from the Octonauts will be leaving their octopod to take you on an amazing underwater adventure.  See them perform in their Octonauts: To Your Stations mini show on the Children’s Stage as well as the Main Stage on Sunday. You can meet the underwater heroes at intervals throughout the day too.

Men's Hockey World League - Free tickets available!
This June you can come along to the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and watch for free!

Atherton Leisure Centre are running an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course (NPLQ) with AED (Automated External Defibrillator)!

Swing Train at Atherton Leisure Centre! 
Classes every Friday 6.00pm – 7.00pm!

SwingTrain is a high-intensity dance cardio workout inspired by the joyful, energetic sounds of Charleston, Swing, Gospel, Rhythm & Blues, Electro Swing, and Hot Jazz. These total-body exercise classes are suitable for all levels and the music is so infectious that you won't even realise you're burning up to 500 calorie per hour! Our first-rate instructors will lead you through a series of fun, follow-along moves and interactive choreography guaranteed to get you sweating and smiling!

Us Girls is the fantastic female only programme for women aged between 14 - 25 years of age.

Go Wild! Family Club
Children of all ages and their families and carers are invited to join the free Go Wild!
sessions at East Ham Nature Reserve.

Have fun exploring the reserve and getting to know the wildlife that lives there.
You'll be able to build dens, make crafts, and play in the beautiful surroundings.
There will be the chance to learn about the different seasons, and the animals and plants that call the nature reserve their home.
Sessions take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 12.00pm - 2.30pm.

Great Run Local Newham
Every Sunday Newham residents can enjoy a free fun run for people of all ages.
The weekly run takes place at New Beckton Park every Sunday at 9.30am and involves a timed 2k and 5k run. The event is free and families are welcomed including children and buggies. The run is part of a network of free, weekly, friendly running events delivered by fantastic local organisers and volunteers.
