Update - 28.04.21

We want to update our members regarding the temporary closure of Manor Park Fitness Centre from September.

Newham Council is working with architects Haworth Tompkins to develop a set of proposals to redevelop the site at Greenhill Centre.

The redevelopment will provide around 80 new affordable homes, as well a new gym and an improved public realm such as landscaped garden

What does that mean for members of Manor Park Fitness Centre?

The proposed new development will be allocated for affordable family and wheel chair accessible housing. In addition to housing, the proposal includes a brand new gym for the area.

For a period, whilst the new site is being built, members of Manor Park Fitness Centre will be able to use other activeNewham facilities within the borough - Atherton Leisure Centre, East Ham Leisure Centre & Newham Leisure Centre.

What is the timetable for the works?

It is envisaged that the fitness centre will close from the beginning of September for a period of approximately three years.

Will I have access to other activeNewham facilities?

Absolutely. Whilst works are taking place on the build of the new gym, members of the fitness centre will be able to use any of the other activeNewham sites across the borough.

These include: Atherton Leisure Centre, East Ham Leisure Centre and Newham Leisure Centre.

The closest facilities to Manor Park Fitness Centre are East Ham and Atherton Leisure Centres. Members are, however, welcome to use any of the facilities above.

What happens to my monthly membership fee during this time?

There are several options available to you in relation to your transferring your membership. Please contact our customer service team centre directly on memberships@activenewham.org.uk to discuss the most suitable option for you.

Where can I find out more information?

 Thank you.
